After payment, it may take a few hours before you receive a confirmation. These confirmations are important as proof of registration and payment, so please check your inbox carefully, as well as your spam folder.
CancellationParticipants can cancel their participation free of charge up to 4 weeks prior to the convention. Your payment will be refunded minus € 20 administration costs. If participation is cancelled up to 2 weeks in advance, we can refund 50% of the payment due to costs already incurred for the convention. No refunds are possible after 2 weeks prior to the convention.
Social rateWe are a convention for and by acrobats, without a profit motive. The cost of a ticket is based on the actual costs of the convention. We are cheap, very cheap, compared to other conventions and therefore do not have special student rates or rates for low incomes. Because we really want to give everyone a chance to attend the convention, we offer a social rate to those who truly cannot afford it, provided there is significant volunteer work involved. Please contact us via vrijwilligers@akrobatiek.nl if you would like to qualify for this rate. We will then see how we can make it possible for you.
Passive and active participantsEven if you do not participate in the workshops, we charge the full rate. After all, you are making use of the accommodation, the food, the performances, and the party! We kindly ask for everyone's understanding in this matter.
Giving workshopsOn the registration form, you can indicate whether you would like to give one or more workshops. A modest fee is paid for this. We would like to have a great many workshops in the program. So please do not hesitate to offer a workshop if you have a fun idea. Workshops in other disciplines that might be of interest to acrobats are also welcome.
Convention tasksUnder the motto by acrobats, for acrobats, the Dutch Acrobatics convention asks for a small contribution from everyone in the form of odd jobs that we do not wish to outsource professionally. This way, we keep the convention affordable for everyone, and meeting and collaboration become part of the fun and atmosphere. The organization is committed to this convention on a voluntary basis; we cannot manage without the help of the participants. Giving a workshop or performing in a show counts as a convention task. convention tasks cannot be bought off.
Rendez-vousThis year's theme is Rendez-vous. We would like to encourage the magic of meeting, because that is precisely what makes partner acrobatics so much fun. So we invite you to approach strangers, do a trick together, have a chat in the meal queue, join strangers at their table, do a little dance, or share a story. Rendez-vous provides surprises and fun.
